A special shout out to Rob, the general manager, who truly goes out of his way to oversee your every need, whether that is a catering order, a special occasion, or a simple weeknight dinner. Enjoy indoor and outdoor dining at Desmond’s Restaurant located at East Wind’s hotel in Wading River, NY. Very pleased with the food and service. Prices compared to other restaurants are reasonable.
We had a reservation for Desmond’s tonight to celebrate an accomplishment. The staff was so accommodating and kind. We had 13 people in our party including two little ones and they were so nice offering choices of coloring pages. The food was amazing, and we loved the new menu!!
Had my 75th birthday party at Desmond’s yesterday. Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent….and the price was very reasonable! Guests with special food needs were very happy with their meals.
We were their for there soft opening. Menu did not have a big selection which was disappointing. Hopefully it will have more. The renovation looks really nice,but need more of a selection.

We got married at East Wind back in 2021, so every year on our anniversary we have dinner at Desmond’s and it is always amazing. The calamari is excellent and comes in a huge portion size. When the lobster bash special is one the menu, my husband always gets that. I love their pork chop Milanese, but this time I got the lobster roll which was delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is always friendly. We love to walk around the shops beforehand. Highly recommend!
I’ve had the pleasure of officiating many weddings at East Wind over the past few years. This Father’s Day, I made a reservation for brunch, and once again, East Wind/Desmond’s exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming—you never felt rushed or overwhelmed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the day feel truly special. It was a perfect celebration from start to finish. Five stars!
